By State of California Law, we are able to offer a prompt pay time of service discount to all patients who are paying cash on the same day as their office visit.  Your payment includes the face-to-face consultation, office visit, and acupuncture treatment with our fully certified and licensed Acupuncturists and qualified staff members.

 

Payment for these services may be required prior to being rendered (or after being rendered) at our discretion.  Cash patients will be directly responsible for payments of all services and/or products provided by MEDPRO Health Center.  Payment options include “Cash” (cash or direct personal check) or credit/debit card (VISA© or MasterCard© only).  Our office does not accept liens or participates in third-party billing.

ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE TREATMENT

e-acuElectro-acupuncture is quite similar to traditional acupuncture in that the same points are stimulated during treatment. As with traditional acupuncture, needles are inserted on specific points along the body. The needles are then attached to a device that generates continuous electric pulses using small clips. These devices are used to adjust the frequency and intensity of the impulse being delivered, depending on the condition being treated. Electro-acupuncture uses two needles at time so that the impulses can pass from one needle to the other. Several pairs of needles can be stimulated simultaneously.

massage-slideTui-na is a hands-on body treatment that uses Traditional Chinese Medicine into balance. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll/press, and manipulate the areas between each of the acupuncture points to attempt to stimulate the Qi and Blood and get the energy moving throughout the body and the muscles. The practitioner can then use range of motion, traction, and massage, with the stimulation of acupuncture points. These techniques are to aid in the treatment of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions, as well as many non-musculoskeletal conditions.

gua shaMassage oil is applied to the skin of the area to be treated, a smooth-edged instrument is used by the acupuncturist to apply short or long strokes on the skin, typically on the area of pain or on the back parallel to the spine. This stroking motion creates raised redness (petechiae) or bruising (ecchymosis). Gua sha technique has the ability to break up stagnation, promote the smooth flow of blood to the area, thereby relieving pain.

 

CHINESE HERBAL FORMULAS (Prices Varies per Formula Prescription)


formulaFrom ancient times, pills were formed by combining several herbs and other ingredients, which were dried and ground into a powder. They were then mixed with a binder and formed into pills by hand. The binder was traditionally honey. Modern tea pills, however, are extracted in stainless steel extractors to create either a water decoction or water-alcohol decoction, depending on the herbs used. They are extracted at a low temperature (below 100 degrees Celsius) to preserve essential ingredients. The extracted liquid is then further condensed, and some raw herb powder from one of the herbal ingredients is mixed in to form an herbal dough. This dough is then machine cut into tiny pieces, a small amount of excipients are added for a smooth and consistent exterior, and they are spun into pills.
